Welcome to the Regional Medical Protocols update for 2010

 

The 10th edition of the TEMS Regional Medical Protocols will be implemented on January 4, 2010. The protocols and appendices were adopted by the Tidewater Operational Medical Directors Committee as a regional template and guide. Protocols must be adopted by individual EMS agencies, and any changes to the regional protocols or policies must be documented and given to EMS providers.

 

To achieve this effort, To be authorized to perform the new 10th edition TEMS Protocols as a Virginia Beach provider, follow the steps below. Once you have completed all the steps that pertain to your released provider level in Virginia Beach, you will be certified to begin using the new protocols in Virginia Beach. Any questions about this certification process are to be referred to the Virginia Beach EMS Training Center at 757-385-2970 or at EMSTRAIN@vbgov.com.

    .Third:   After doing the above, complete the EMT-B/EMT-E or  EMT-I/EMT-P  post-           review form (depending upon your released status in Virginia Beach).  When completed, sign the form where indicated and then submit to Virginia Beach EMS Training Center as instructed on the form.  NOTE: any form that is illegible will not be honored
