Elite requires a reason when viewing or printing reports

Privacy of patient records is important.  Each patient care report is to be viewed only by those who participated on the call or have a need to know.  This is one of many reasons why you must be listed as crew on an incident in order to view the report in Elite.

A recent change was made to improve audit tracking of patient care reports.  You are now prompted to enter a reason when opening or printing a patient care report in EliteBridge (not Elite Field).  Simply answer truthfully:

  • “Completing the report”
  • “Adding an addemdum”
  • “Reviewing the incident”
  • “CQI Review”

Your name and the date/time you view/print the report is captured, so no need to include that information in the report.

UPDATE 11/8/2017: We have disabled the prompt when viewing reports. The intention was to capture a reason on a posted or finalized report, not a work-in-progress.
