This is your Ambient Carbon Monoxide Detector. It constantly checks the air around you for poisonous carbon monoxide gas. You should have one securely attached to your ambulance’s jump bag. IF YOU DON’T, CONTACT YOUR SQUAD OFFICERS. |

If the display shows 0 PPM… ![]() If the display shows some other low number (1, 2, 3, etc), that’s OK too. |
If the display is blank, or contains any special icons, CONTACT YOUR SQUAD OFFICERS. |
If its alarms go off persistently: EVACUATE THE AREA. REQUEST A FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONSE. CONSIDER THAT YOUR PATIENT MAY HAVE CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. |
