Ambulance REVIVE Kits Are Not Being Restocked

REVIVE kits for opiate overdoses were placed on ambulances and zone cars to assist providers with the administration of naloxone (Narcan) to patients suffering from an opiate overdose.  We placed REVIVE kits on ambulances and provided training to BLS providers prior to the TEMS protocol allowing it and prior to the Narcan being placed in the IV box.

These REVIVE kits are now expiring.  Since the medications and delivery devices are readily available in the TEMS IV boxes now, we will not be restocking the ambulance REVIVE kits.  If you note your kit is expired during checkoff, you should notify your station leadership so they can dispose of the kit appropriately.

The zone car REVIVE kits will continue to be restocked.
