Campbell, Stephenson-White Released as Volunteer Paramedics

Two VB Rescue volunteers were released as paramedics on Monday, as both Blake Campbell (right) and Michelle Stephenson-White (left) passed their oral boards.

Campbell is a volunteer with the Plaza Volunteer Rescue Squad and has served for more than two years. He also serves in the U.S. Navy.

Stephenson-White is currently a volunteer with the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, but started with VB Rescue in 1997 with the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad. She returned to VB Rescue nearly four years ago and has served since then as an Advanced EMT.

VB Rescue – EMS hosts an Advanced Life Support Internship program that allows volunteer providers to complete their Advanced EMT and Paramedic certifications. Currently, 41 VB Rescue volunteers serve at the AEMT or Paramedic certification level, enhancing VB Rescue’s response capabilities.
