Patient signature no longer required for transports

A patient’s signature is no longer required when transporting a patient.  This includes patients less than 14 years of age.  It is still required to collect a signature for a refusal of evaluation, treatment, or transport, as it is today.  AIC signature is required by VaOEMS for all reports.

If your patient disposition is this:
Patient disposition of "transported by this EMS unit"

Then the only signature you need is this:

Provider’s continue to have the option to collect a patient’s or authorized representatives signature if deemed appropriate.  It is no longer a Department requirement.
