VBRescue Premieres New Podcast ‘Feeling The Pulse’

Virginia Beach EMS is excited to introduce the department’s first-ever podcast Feeling The Pulse, co-hosted by Deputy Chief Joey Hundley and Public Affairs Officer Ricky LaBlue.

As VBRescue grows and evolves to meet growing demands for service, modernizing internal and external communication efforts between agencies is among VBEMS’ top priorities. The Feeling The Pulse podcast will help the VBRescue system better communicate with people in and outside of the VBRescue system.

Each week, Feeling The Pulse will feature a VBRescue member, whether it be a volunteer or a career staffer. The podcast is designed to help us better understand our teammates within the VBRescue system, as well as advocate for the achievements of the VBRescue system as a whole.

For the opening act, Feeling The Pulse features Ellen McBride, a volunteer EMT at the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad and an Assistant Chief with VBEMS. McBride serves the system in a variety of ways and is well-known and respected for her efforts to grow and sustain the volunteer rescue system.

You can listen to the first episode of Feeling The Pulse below, as well as on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Stitcher. Be sure to leave a review of the podcast and let us know what you think. Enjoy!
